DevOps connects source changes to repeatable builds, deployments, observable services, and recoverable incidents. A pipeline is useful only when its artifact and rollback path are clear.
Choose a starting point
Work from version control and build identity through containers, infrastructure, delivery, monitoring, and incident response. Each stage should preserve enough evidence to explain which version is running and why it changed.
- DevOps: delivery, infrastructure, and reliable operations
- DevOps: map a change from commit to recovery
- Container builds: small runtime, explicit privilege
- Terraform state: shared ownership and safe plans
- Observability: join metrics, logs, and traces
- Linux service diagnostics: process, socket, and journal
- CI runner isolation: treat repository code as untrusted
- Kubernetes requests and limits: schedule for real load
- Kubernetes NetworkPolicy: permit only required flows
Common Mistakes
A green pipeline can still ship the wrong image, omit a migration, or alert after customers have already failed. Treat release verification and recovery as part of delivery, not a separate checklist.
